    Not Fetching OpenStreetMaps

In the latest version of DJOA, when "Map source for locations" is set to OpenStreetMaps in General Settings, when entering a contact address, the search dialog never fetches the map for a selected address. There is just red text that says "Loading...", forever.

If I switch to Google for the "Map source for locations", a map will be fetched. Same behavior on two different devices.

    Is this a known issue?
I always prefer to un-Google my data whenever possible.

    Jeff,

Looks like something might have changed here, we will investigate this.

        Jeff,

I sent a direct update with some notes to your email. Check the Spam folder if you don't see it. With OpenStreetMaps we did make a fix, but it looks their API does not hand us a Map image, so the fix it to stop the "Loading..." message from appearing. For Map Views to be added this would have to be set to Google for Maps.

Thomas, I never got the email. I have no spam controls enabled on the email address associated with my forum account here, and spam folder is always empty.

          Could you kindly resend?

            Jeff,

Apologies, it looks like I had the wrong email. You can download the latest build here. On the mobile tap the following link:

            https://www.dejaoffice.com/androidap...DejaOffice.apk

This will install build 4.4.49 (1403) which has the Open Maps fix for Loading.

Note: If your Android phone displays an "Install blocked" message, do the following:

            1. Tap "Settings".
            2. Check the box for "Unknown sources".
            3. Tap "Ok", and restart the installation.

              Thomas,

Before I install that, one question for clarification: Does the fix actually load the Open Street Maps, or just get rid of the "loading" message. If the latter, I'm inclined to just wait until the loading of the maps is eventually fixed (will it be?), or just wait for the update via the Play Store channel.

                Jeff,

We just pushed an update today which should have the fix also. The API for OpenMaps does not hand us a Map image, so the fix is only to stop the "Loading..." message from appearing. For Map Views to be added you would have to use Google Maps the lookups.
