"DejaOffice has stopped" when saving a Contact edit

Ever since updating to 4.4.50(1404) the other day, every time I edit a contact and click the save checkmark, I am getting an Android "DejaOffice has stopped" message. If I restart DejaOffice and check the contact, the edit did take. But I need to fix the issue.

I can edit Calendar and Memo records with no issue.

My contacts are saved in Outlook on the PC since last sync before updating

    I'm running Android 7.1, on a Lenovo TAB4 10 Plus Tablet.

    Jeff,

I have a small update with some fixes, on the Phone, tap the following link:

    https://www.dejaoffice.com/androidap...DejaOffice.apk

Some phone browsers can have some trouble downloading the file, so if the "Chrome" browser does not work, try downloading with the "Internet" Browser.

Once downloaded tap the Download Complete notification to open the installer and choose Install\Update. Open DejaOffice and confirm the build is now 4.4.50 (1418). If so any change? If not we can try a small log of the crash.

    NOTE:
If your Android phone displays an "Install blocked" message, do the following:
    1) Tap "Settings".
    2) Check the box for "Unknown sources".

        Jeff,

        1. Open DejaOffice, tap Settings and select Logging and Support Settings.
        2. Put a check in 'Start Logging.'
        3. Reproduce the issue you are having. IE Cause the Crash.
        4. Once you have reproduced it, reopen DejaOffice, tap Settings, then 'Logging and Support Settings. 'Select 'Email Log.'
        5. Please enter the following Ticket ID into the subject line: #5981809
        6. Send the e-mail to: support@dejaoffice.com

Okay, I sent it. When I went to the logging setting it was already enabled. So I toggled it off, closed DejaOffice, and then reopened DejaOffice and re-enabled the logging. Performed the crash and sent the email.

Also, a thought- I have an utility on my tablet that backs up apps. I always back up an app before I update it. As an additional troubleshooting step do you want me to try to restore version 4.4.48, which was installed before this error started after my recent update to 4.4.50 via Google Play, and see if the error goes away? I won't do so unless you advise, as I don't want to introduce more variables while you all are trying to solve this.

            Jeff,

Got it! I sent this up to our dev team for review and sent some follow-up steps via email.
