Contact search misses at least half of relevant records

I was trying to find all the contacts I have with addresses in Germany. Searching for "germany" found 6, including two that only have the word in a note, not in an address. Searching for others I know of by name or city I found at least 6 more that all have Germany in an address field. Why did the "germany" search not find them, and how many others might there be that I haven't thought of searches for yet? And how many other searches are missing records they should find? With over 4,000 contacts I rely on search to work and can't spend time playing guessing games.

    Elizabeth,

There are search filter options in the settings. In DejaOffice Settings > Contact Settings > What is the Search option set to here? All Fields Except Notes might work better. You could do "All Fields" but this means if "Germany" is mentioned in any contact's notes they would also appear in the results.

Do you have an example of a record that is not searching vs one that does? If so, is there a difference? IE one as DE and one as "Germany"? The search is mechanical, so if there are results missing it would likely be due to some difference in the contact address.
