I have previewed and used 3 other apps similar to Deja. Liked them all but like Deja the best.

Each of them either defaults to or gives the option of starting the week view calendar on Sunday. Nothing I do can get Deja to start the week view on Sunday so when I am looking at week view and want to see what I have going for Sunday of that week, instead of looking at the upper left box, I have to look at the very lower right box of the previous week - certainly counter intuitive. I do have "First day of week" set to Sunday.

Definitely seems to be an issue that only affects the grid week view. It does not affect the column view.

The way the grid view is displayed makes it difficult to start this view on a Sunday. In the vertical view you could split each column into 3 and a 1/2 boxes but I can't think how you could make it work in horizontal.

Perhaps the developers could think of an answer. I have always had my week start on a Monday as it suits my way of working.

Another view which I find useful is DejaToday, which gives an overview of your diary.

Big fan of Deja Today but find the week view very useful for a quick view of the week.
