    Lag

I recently updated DejaOffice to the latest version (4.4.55, build 1501) on my Android 7.1 tablet. Since the update I'm noticing a 2-3 second lag when opening contacts or calendar from a home screen shortcut. I notice a similar lag when switching between contacts/calendar/memos from within the app. Any ideas?

    Jeff

    p.s. I was previously on version 4.4.54

    Jeff,

We do build some Birthday and anniversary events when opening Calendar. In the DejaOffice Settings > Calendar Settings, if you Uncheck Show Birthday and Show Anniversary, then relaunch DejaOffice any change? The Search options in the Contact and Calendar Settings can effect speed as well, if these are set to All Fields, it can slow things down.

You noted its an Android 7.1 tablet, is this the OS version? If so, hat is a pretty dated OS. On our last major update we had to drop support for OS 6. While 7 is still supported by the Play Store, it would mean this device's hardware specs are also rather low.

      Thomas,

Those settings make no difference. I have a local backup of the previous version, but want to ping you for any other ideas before I risk rolling back and potentially losing my data.

        Jeff,

I can send some more steps to dig a bit deeper, would you create a support ticket at the bottom of the page here so I can track this with a ticket:

Get help with CompanionLink and DejaOffice. Setup guides, downloads, hours, contact options, and premium services — all in one place.

Thomas, ticket created, referencing you and this thread.

In addition, I had to use a different email address than what I am registered as here on the forum. Because the Support Ticket form does not seem to accept the domain in my email address. Can we work on that issue separately? I cannot figure out how to PM you on this site.

Thomas, it's been a couple weeks now since I sent the log (#3304567).

Could you look into this for an update?

            Thanks,

            Jeff
