3.1.3: option to adjust for incorrect alarm times

I eagerly installed 3.1.3 just now, for this feature.

I went into settings and checked the box -- I was surprised that I did not get to choose the amount of adjustment.

I set a meeting in Outlook for 5:40pm, with 5 minute advance reminder, and synced.

The alarm sounded at 5:38pm, not 5:35 as I wanted.
Without the checkbox, I would have expected the alarm to sound at 5:37 (this is what it has been doing for a few months now).

So, something is still not working correctly.

Did I do something wrong?
What is the correct procedure to adjust for incorrect alarm times?

When did you last reboot your phone? Be sure to reboot, as we have seen this fix a problem where Android notifications are several minutes late.

In DejaOffice Settings, Alarm Settings, check the box "Adjust for incorrect alarm times.

I rebooted the phone.
The first alarm after the reboot sounded exactly at the same time as the Outlook alarm on my laptop.
I was so happy.

But, sadly, the next meeting (an hour later) reverted back to being 3 minutes late.

Both of those were non-repeating meetings... not sure if that helps you, but wanted to mention it.

What were are seeing is that some android 4 phones ring the notifications a couple minutes after the appointed time.

Try the setting then: In DejaOffice Settings, Alarm Settings, check the box "Adjust for incorrect alarm times.

I have that setting set already.
I downloaded 3.1.3 explicitly so I could get this setting.
After I set it and tested the alarms, I opened this discussion thread.

So -- I would say that this setting is not working as intended.
Do you agree?
Is there anything else I should try?

If it is still not the right time, then we can get a log and send to developer.

1. Turn on Logging (Settings, Logging and Support, check Turn on logging).
Note: Logging automatically turns off after 5 days

2. After a couple alarms have rung a bit late, send the log in.
Logging and Support, Send Log. Send to support@dejaoffice.com
Specify you forum name so the people who get it knows what you are referring to.
Also name the time of the appointment that rang at the wrong time.

In case anyone is wondering what happened: I did a factory reset of my phone and reinstalled everything from scratch.
At the moment, alarms are sounding at the correct time.

Thanks. I think we'll suggest that. It seems like on some phones, due to Android OS updates, the notification system gets off somehow.
