    Problem Scrolling through Deja Contacts

I used to be able to scroll through contacts using the letters on the right side of the screen. That feature no longer seems to be working.

I'm using Samsung S5 on Verizon Wireless, recently updated software to SM-G900V_NE9_to_N12. Using Deja Office 3.1.3.

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi Mike

If you have Contacts set to open in search mode, tap the Android back button to clear the on-screen keyboard and the letters should reappear. They do on my phone. Hope this works for you.

      Thanks for the message Cecil.

I'm not opening in search mode. I can see the letters on the right side. It just doesn't do any good to press on them or to try to scroll through the letters.

Sounds like this may be a problem relating to the display resolution of your phone. Probably worth going to the support page DJO and raising a support ticket.

Mike, I noticed the same issue after the latest DJO update. Hopefully that will get fixed soon. You can get the letters to work if you touch the very, very outside of the screen, but it's practically non-functional.

I'd be curious to know what response you received from technical support.

Had two communications from Technical Support.

              1) Make sure you're at 3.1.3 (I was) and reboot the phone (I did).

I wrote back to Technical Support saying that didn't improve the situation.

              2) "What I can do is submit a feature request which request that our developers make the alphabetical slider bar larger. Right now there is no way to increase the size of it, unfortunately."

I wrote back to Technical Support with screen shots from my wife's identical phone except at 3.1.2 and my phone at 3.1.3. The difference in the slider bar was very obvious. With 3.1.2 when you start manually scrolling you get a large blue scroll bar to the left of the letters. You can grab and slide the bar down to any letter you want. With my 3.1.3 there is a tiny grey bar to the right of the letters that is worthless. I communicated to Technical Support that it appears that the problem was created in 3.1.3 and asked if they could help address this problem. I have not heard anything further.

It certainly seems to be a by-phone thing. On my phone, no scroll bar appars, but sliding my finger along the right side over the actual letters causes a big version of each lette to appear in the middle of my screen and I just lift my finger when the letter I want appears. Works great for me.

I've made note for my programmer to increase the size of the alpha picker.
