How to make tasks appear in DejaToday?

I added a task with a date of today, and configured DejaToday to show it (I tried every "Show tasks" setting).

Only "Show All" showed the task I added today. No other setting showed ANY tasks.

    ...

Huh, interesting. I had tried this before, but it hadn't worked, and now it had - I added a due date of today, and then "Show Today" and "Show Active" both showed the task I'd added.

Is there a discussion of what "Show Today" means? i.e. Date Started vs Due Date? And what "Show Active" means? Is that date-based or status-based? The documentation on this subject appears to be out of date.

    Hi Tim

I think that DejaToday shows tasks according to Due date. Tasks without a due date do not seem to show in DejaToday unless "Show All" is set.

I don't think the "Show Active" is working in 3.1.3, I think that it should show tasks that have been started or have a status set from the options in the task.

All "date" references in task refer to Due Date of the task.

Only Outlook has a task start date. Most CRM systems do not. We have the field to match Outlook. I don't think we have sort orders that view task "Start date", only "Due Date"

Thanks for clarifying - how about the "active tasks" thing? Is that indeed broken? What does "active" mean?

Active tasks are non-completed tasks that have a set due date for today or earlier, or a set start date for today or earlier, or both start date and due date are not set.
