Looking for help with a Palm Desktop problem

Background - for years I had a Palm Pilot handheld and synced it with Palm Desktop (PDT) on my computer. Eventually I got a smart phone and started using DJO with it, having successfully transferred all my Palm data to DJO. I regularly sync DJO in the phone with PDT in the computer.
Here's the problem - I have PDT set to mask private records, and I cannot find the password for it so I can access a memo that I had set as private. Fortunately, it isn't set as private in DJO so I can access it there, but I'd certainly like to see it in PDT, as well as various other items that are also set as private. (There are times when it's so much easier to enter data with the computer keyboard!)
IS there some semi-secret file in the computer part of PDT that I might be able to read?
PS - I know there are master password management programs/apps, and I think it's time for me to get one - any preferences amongst you?

    Marjory,

Unfortunately to change the the Privacy password in Palm Desktop, you actually need a Palm Handheld. I have not found a away around this.

If you do like DejaOffice on the Mobile, we do have DejaOffice for the PC and it is a great Palm replacement, if you sync all of the data to DejaOffice PC CRM it will sync with the Private flag, but without the password from Palm. Then in DPC we do have options to Hide\Mask Private records just like in DejaOffice on the mobile.

I can most emphatically second Thomas' suggestion and recommendation. There are many advantages to using the CRM PC version of DJO as compared with the PDT (which I used for donkey's years...and loved) such as unlimited number of categories (not limted to only 15 in PDT) etc. etc. Give it a whirl - you can get a trial. I'm sure you will be convinced and wonder why you didn't try it much earlier.
        PC: Windows 10 & 11, 64 bit
CompanionLink Express: Ver 10 Build 11014.
DJO PC CRM Standalone: Ver 2103
Main mobile device - Samsung S21 U5G Android 15; One UI Version 7.0
Samsung Galaxy Tab 6 (SM-T865): Android 12, One UI Version 5.1
        Android DJO: Version 4.4.61 (1744)

Sync Method: to DejaCloud, both ways on all devices
