Contacts no more reading to android native

After I updated to android security level 1st October 2023 ( I have galaxy 13 ultra, android 13) I lost my contacts in native Contacts. My sync is set to dejaoffice in djo settings. When I add a new contact it properly adds that contact to the native contacts. When I say Read android data djo says sync complete, but does not show any djo contacts in Native Contacts.
What should I do so that djo contacts show in native?

In DejaOffice for Android go to Settings, Sync Settings.
Make sure the 3rd box is checked to sync to Android Contacts.
We now advise the 4th option be set to DejaOffice to Native (not two way)
Go down 5 more options to Clear and Reload Android Contacts
    Say Yes.

This will reset the Android Contacts database.

We are advising one way sync because on Galaxy S23 Ultra we have seen the Android Contacts become corrupt, and by synchronizing one way you can avoid any issues migrating up to DejaOffice.

I did that. It updated my native contacts initially ( in spite of progress not going beyond 0%). However, after a few hours when I checked the contacts had disappeared again (only dejaoffice contacts vanish, other accounts remain) . Has it got anything to do with the latest security patch? If I reinstall will I be able to restore from a back up? I also have companionlink. And, what if I sync to non dejaoffice account which you don't recommend.
Also, in search bar I get for sometime
      "java.lang.nullPointerException"

I realise now that in android native contacts djo office account is Not there. Also in phone settings djo account not there. My djo sync setting is sync to dejaoffice account. I am sure earlier djo account was there in native Contacts. Did android update made a mischief. Developer should look into it asap.

            Mulo,

Can you check in the Android Settings > Apps > DejaOffice > Storage. Make sure that DejaOffice is not stored on the "SD card" as this can cause issues. Also you can put DejaOffice on the Do not Monitor list here for the batter saver:
