HTML Notes - nice feature, but please repair it!

I recently purchased CL Upgrade to the new version 11. Mainly to support the developers of this great software. I was also curious about the new feature "HTML Notes".
And yes: It seems to work beneath every kind of Outlook element.
Of course this is far away from formatting possibilities I use on Outlook . It's not Word and shouldn't be.
But bullet lists are bullet lists, bold is bold and links are links. So even my complex formatted notes look a little bit better.
What next? Colored text? Different text sizes?

It would be nice to have an overview about HTML Features currently supported and planned.

Unfortunately there seems to be a bug: As soon as I add formatting to the notes of any element (in Outlook) the subject text of this element will be inserted at the start of the notes text. For me this is a problem: I have a lot of complex formatted notes inside tasks. Usually I don't touch the notes text inside DO when for instance I change the start time of a task. But now the notes are seen as changed and subsequently the resync includes the notes text. This way my complex formatting inside Outlook (including colored text, tables, paragraph templates a. s. o.) automatically will be overwritten by basic formatting from DO.

I hope this can be fixed soon.

    Halweg,

We are working on this issue, thank you for the report. Currently we just plan to do the simple HTML as you see, Bold, Underline, Italics, Bullet and Number list. At this time we don't have any plans for text size, font or color.

Thanks. Meanwhile I deactivated the HTML feature, I worry about lost of formatting by this bug. Hope I get informed when the bug is fixed.
Btw: The Implementation how to show complex HTML formatting (from Outlook) inside the DO "notes" field impressed me. Even tables are "translated" to something readable.
And thanks to the separate sync of each field I can handle tasks with complex notes in DejaOffice too.

        Halweg,

I have been working to replicate the issue with the Less Than sign, but they don't seem to give me any issue with or with out html. Are you also Bold, Underlining, or Italicizing the less than sign? Could you give me an example of a line that would cause this issue? IE the text with the less than sign that I can try locally.

The < sign just disappears when syncing from PC to device in HTML mode. Independent from formatting:
          less"<<<<"great
          becomes
          less""great
Inside DO you can enter a <, but it won't be saved.

            Halweg,

You can disregard my direct email I was able to replicate the issue when using the Less Than symbol and the HTML formatting together. I have sent this up to our development team to resolve.
