Sync From Native Contacts is Broken

    Hi all,
My best guess is that this problem began with the update to Android 14.

Long time user of DJO-Android on Samsung phones. Traditionally, when I create a new contact using the native phone app, the contact appears in DJ. In fact, there was always a choice of accounts to use. Now, this choice is made using a dropdown box, and if I select DejaOffice, I get an error ("Account Sync is off. Tap here to turn it on"). If I do NOT tap to turn it on, but proceed to create the contact, the new contact does not appear on DJO contacts. My recollection is that this change came with the upgrade to Android 14.

In Android Settings, sync is enabled for the DejaOffice account contacts. In DJO Settings "Sync with Android Contact App" is enabled, bi-directional, with Account set to DejaOffice. None of this has changed in years. I just updated DJO to the latest rev, just in case there was a change necessitated by Android 14 that I missed, but no joy.

I do not want my contact list syncing to my Google account, so I haven't done the tap to turn Account Sync On. On Android Settings/Accounts, the "Auto sync data" switch is OFF, as it has been for years. My concern is that turning that switch on will sync all accounts. Android Sync settings for the DejaOffice account is on, while Google (and others) is off.

If I "Tap here to turn it on" as noted above, will that enable the Android Auto sync data switch?

    Any troubleshooting help is appreciated.

    Emk,

If everything is correct in DejaOffice, I would try a clear and reload of native:
