DJOA calendar search function broken / doesn't display items synced from Outlook

For some reason I had to delete all DJOA calendar items. Afterwards I did a full sync Outlook -> Android, "Outlook primary database", "reread Outlook before sync".

Now search function in DJOA calendar does not display events which have been synced from Outlook in above manner. (So because I deleted the calendar before sync, search displays NOTHING.)
Only new calendar items which have been entered in DJOA after the sync are displayed during search.

Is there a way to get the search function to work correctly again or is this broken in beta DejaOffice.apk 4.4.61 (build 1713)?

    Protel,

To clarify the events do appear in the Calendar, but are just not searching?

    1. In DejaOffice Settings > Calendar Settings > Tap the Rebuild Calendar.
    2. In DejaOffice Calendar, tap Search. Tap the down arrow on the right of the search bar. Confirm the the Filter is set to All Records and there is no Date Range enabled. Also confirm the main Search Filter settings here.
    3. In the DejaOffice > Calendar, tap the 3 bars in the top right and select Categories. Make sure there is not a filter enabled here.

      Thomas,

      thank you!
Yes, the events appear in the Calendar, but don't show as search results.

      1. Done, but no change
      2. "All records" set, and "all entries" (i.e. no date range), so no search filter settings enabled. No change
      3. all categories enabled, no filter set. No change.

But: during verify of topic 2 in "Other filters" I discovered a checkbox for "Completed Records", which was unchecked. I have never seen or used this checkbox before.
Now I checked "Completed Records" and voilą: Now I get all expected search results displayed correctly.

      Two possibilities:
      - this checkbox is new and search worked before as if Completed Reords have been enabled
      - Due to complete sync from Outlook to DJOA ALL calendar items have been internally set to "completed", although non of the calendar items have "Complete" checked, all show as "Not Complete"!

So last point would be wrong, because all items are "Not Complete" but can be searched only with filter "Completed Records" active.

        addendum:
I had a look on another phone (DJOA 4.4.61 build 1702), which never has been synced Outlook -> Android.
In search filter "Completed Records" is UNchecked, as I assumed above.
Nevertheless ALL calendar items can be searched successfully, old ones and new ones.

So there must be a difference between calendar items which have been entered directly in DJOA and calendar items which come from Outlook.
The latter ones are not displayed during search without "Completed Records" checked, although all of these items are "Not Complete".

Hmm I will do some checking here. IF the Complete box is not checked this is the only reason it would be filtered with that setting.

            Thomas,

            to clarify:

I never use the "complete" field in my calendar events, so ALL items are in status "Not Completed".

            Calendar items entered in DJOA:
Search function finds and displays ALL items with or without "Completed Records" checked in search filter.

Calendar items entered in Outlook, synced Outlook->DJOA and not changed/modified in DJOA:
Search WITHOUT "Completed Records" checked in search filter does NOT find/display any of these items.
Search WITH "Completed Record" checked finds these items; and again: these items DO NOT have "complete" checked!

Obviously the "Completed Records" in the search filter is not really a filter (like show only completed records) but means "include completed records in search".

So the difference in the items which can be found is NOT dependant of their status "complete" or "not complete" but is dependant if they have been entered in DJOA or in Outlook.

                ProTel,

Try the following update for the mobile:

                https://www.dejaoffice.com/androidap...DejaOffice.apk

Once downloaded, tap the download to install. Reopen then confirm the build is now 4.4.61 (1716). If so try the search again, any change?

                  Thomas,

                  thank you, installed 4.4.61 (1716).

Should the error have been fixed during search or during sync? I ask because:
Without new sync error persists: Search WITHOUT "Completed Records": only in DJOA newly entered items are displayed; older items synched OL->DJOA are NOT displayed.

Or will I have to sync items OL->DJOA again with this new version? (Not done so far)
