Unable to "jump" to letter in DejaContacts

In DejaContacts on the right side I have the thin scrollbar and all letters A-Z.
I thought when I click one of these letters the list will "jump" to the first entry which name starts with this letter.

I'm not really able to use one of these letters for this purpose.
Sometimes I hit one letter, which then is displayed in the middle of the display and the the list jumps to this position, which is correct.
But most times I do not strike the letter; the contact which lies under the letter is opened instead.

It seems to me that it is very hard to hit the correct position at the right side.

What can I do to get this function working better?

    Regards
    Arno

    Hi Arno

I think it works best if you tap and hold on the list and slide up and down until the letter you want is displayed then release.

I have noticed when I start DejaContacts sometimes, the scrollbar letters overlap the contact entries making it very difficult to select the letters. But, when I close DejaContacts and open it again, the letters do not overlap and then there is no problem selecting the letters.

Do you see the same thing Arno?

        Hi Eagle 3,

        no I don't see this.

The text of the contacts ends at left side of the letters, so there is no overlapping. But the contact field reaches the display's right end so tapping there opens the contact instead of jumping to the letter.

The tap zones are going to be highly specific to the individual phones. So you won't see the same result on a "Doogee Dagger" as on a Galaxy Note 4.
