In a stunning example of Murphy's Law, our server failed to boot this morning.
Apparently an automated update crept on there on Monday, and it swung into place when we rebooted. But instead of updating perfectly, it rendered our kernel useless. Two hours of attempts to either restore the old kernel or make the new one work, have not brought results.
We are building a new server, moving data, and redirecting DNS. It should be complete by December 22, 2pm Pacific Time.
We are able to move data off our old server, so no backup is involved and we anticipate all data is intact. Just a brand spiffy new cloud server.
Until it is up, sync services are down.
