    Category Ringtone

I just upgraded my Galaxy Note 8 to Note 10 +, I got Djo working pretty well except for ringtones for Contact categories.

Similar to the Note 8, I assigned ringtones to Contact Categories, and using DJO caller I'd, and verified that each contact has the correct ringtone in the Contact field, yet all calls have the Default Samsung/Android ringtone.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

    Comptuter,

In this case, Android handles all Ringtones, so while we can use the DejaOffice Caller ID to identify incoming calls, unless the Native Contact sync is enabled, the Android will not respect any ringtone changes in DejaOffice. If the Native Contact sync is enabled in DejaOffice, setting a ringtone in a DejaContact can\will pass this change on to the Android itself to set the custom tone.

I can provide some steps for enabling the Native Android Contact sync.

          Computer,

          To enable the native sync:

          1. Open DejaOffice, tap Settings, Sync Settings.
          2. Scroll to the bottom of this menu, select "Delete contacts from Android Contacts App". From the list that opens, tap DejaOffice and select Yes. When this completes.
          3. Scroll to the top of the same Sync Settings menu, put a check in "Sync with Android Contacts App". Tap Contact Account right below it and select DejaOffice.
          4. Return to the main DejaOffice menu and tap "Read Android Data"

When this completes, the DejaContacts will be copied into the Android Contacts App. Changing a ringtone in a DejaOffice contact will now work.

As a Note: Step 2 is optional, but this ensures when the DejaContacts sync into the Android Contacts app they do so cleanly and aren't merged with any old contacts.

Does this work if you assign a ringtone to a "Contact Category " ?

              Computer,

This works as well, adding a Ringtone to a Category, then assigning a contact to that category will set the contact ringtone to the one set via the Category. There is a small display issue, if you Edit the contact, it will still show "Default Ringtone", but the ringtone will be set to the one assigned via the category. I will get this sent up to our development team to investigate.
