Problem with Outlook Recurrence - Regenerate New Task

I create a task in Outlook with recurrence, regenerate a new task when it is completed. Sometimes I have to move the task if I don't complete it. On DJOA when I move a task of this nature there is a task on the date that I move it to, plus a task as if the task had been marked complete. I have my configuration in my signature.

Bump to the top with some weirdness. I entered the forum this morning and this post wasn't there. I went to my user area and found it under my latest posts and it had 0 replies and 14 views from when I entered it on 11/25. I then went back to main page of forum and the post was there but dated 11/27. Went into another thread and came back to the front and it was gone again.

Be sure to hit refresh on your browser. I think we have 24 hour caching on this site, so if you viewed a thread in the last day - the page is cached and won't update for a day.

It took me a while to realize this - I've learned to refresh each page as I open it, as well as the topics list. Is there a reason you have it set this way?

Ok I fixed it now. Forum cache moved to 30 seconds. Yay!
          https://www.giftofspeed.com/cache-checker/ - then enter https://www.dejaoffice.com/forums/sh...erate-New-Task

I changed the caching from CompanionLink server about a year ago. It worked. Our page loads speed went from 50 to 98 there which really helped our SEO.

Later, we've split DejaOffice to it's own server - and it kept the settings. I need the cache on the 64 DJO content pages for Google SEO. Google really does not like slow pages.

Today I modified the cache control on forums so that it is just 30 seconds for web pages. The graphics and fonts still have a six month cache. Part of doing this involved changing the permissions on the folder.

But it should be automatic now. No more refreshes.

Our vBulletin is out of date, so someday soon we may end up doing it. It will look really different. I still have a weekly battle with bots here In the last week we have had 20 spurious signups and about 80,000 spurious robots crawling the pages (normal is about 800 per week). I like the forums a lot but it takes a bit of maintenance to keep it up and free from spam.

I kinda am responsible for this thread being hijacked by forum cache discussions but after the holiday can we get back to my original question. Recurring tasks on the app that in outlook are regenerated when complete if I move them they end up with a duplicate task.

            Happy Thanksgiving everybody!!
