Can Sort order be altered/expanded a bit further?

I currently sort contacts using Business name, which leaves the contact name sorted as lastname then firstname.
Is there a possibility of changing this to firstname then lastname but still keeping the Business name as the primary sort?

Maybe I show my age here, but why would anyone ever want to see business contacts by first name?

Sort orders are:

First Name - (First Name, Last Name, Company Name)

Last Name - (Last Name, First Name, Company Name)

Company Name - (Company Name, Last Name, First Name)

So although it doesn't say what the secondary sort is; there is indeed a fixed secondary sort order.

I see your reasoning. This assumes that all contacts are business though.
Do you honestly always refer to your regular business contacts by surname?
In an all categories view, unless I enter the full name of a personal contact in the Company field, personal contacts are just listed as Surname. It would just be nice to see an option to allow the first name then surname on the 2nd line of the contact without having to go through the sort procedure.
Equally, when dealing with all my regular business contacts I do indeed use their first name.
It's similar to knowing your neighbours names; the pseudo friendliness often doesn't extend beyond knowing a first name.

I guess your right. We'll get it in the next release... I think everyone under 40 thinks of people by their first name. At least here in the US.

We happen to be working on the context menus this week. We are working to re-align the iPhone and Android products to have exactly the same text. This makes it easier for us to maintain in 12 languages.

While transferring from dejaoffice contacts to the native contacts of my Android Captivate, the sort order has changed from family name (what I want) to first name. How do you prevent this from happening -- or, in my case, correct the problem?
