    DJO Contacts & Android Contacts

    Synching records to my htc Incredible from Act 6.0 with CompanionLink worked fine. Contacts appear in DJO (v 1.8), but are hard to work from, and they do not appear in my Android Contacts. Setting in DJO is to sync calendar and contacts with Android. Have "Read Android Data." Calendar syncs fine. I do not see any setting in Android Contacts to display Contacts as suggested elsewhere in forums.

    HELP?

      I am confused about using DJO contacts with other Android apps, like the phone dialer. I cannot get the dialer to use the DJO contacts, and when I have DJO sync with the andoid people contacts, it does not place any contacts into the android People app. There is a button to 'read andoid data' that when I click it, it VERY slowly seems to copy the DJO contacts to the andoid People app (how come READ android data write the data TO android?).

        I believe this was the same problem for me which I sorted here:

        This was how (Nexus One).
        I set up a Google Mail account in the Phone settings (accounts & sync).
        Make sure here that auto sync is off and and background data sync is selected on.
        These settings will stop the phone syncing to your PC web account and doubling up on contact entries.
        In DJO sync settings,select "sync with Android contacts app and choose your Googlemail account.
        Important bit;
        Then go to your Phone pad and select the contacts key (list is empty at this point) Under display options, (phone pad/contacts/menu button/display options) select the account and select "My contacts" (where it says "Choose contacts to display).
        Probably having already gone as far as syncing you can just carry out the last part via the Phone pad (dialler screen).
        Galaxy S2 stock Android 4. DJO 2.2.9 (341) CompanionLink 5 Build 5050. Outlook 2007 on Windows 7.

          Thank you for that advice. I don't have a Google account, and my contacts are on my phone in DJO. When I select Phone/Contacts/Menu I see Add Contact, Backup Assistant, View, Delete, Import/Export, Company Directory. When I click View I see two options - Only Contacts with Phone Numbers and Phone (0). I do not see an option to display "My Contacts." Thanks for any suggestions that can be offered based on this.

            When I go to Phone / Menu / People / Menu, my choices are Add Contact, Backup Assistant, View, Delete, Import/Export, Company Directory. I do not see an option for Display.

            It would seem you are right that since my contacts have been moved over to my phone, all I need to do is get them to show up in native contacts. I do not see any way to do that, however. I did not set up a Google account or any synching to it.
