    ipad update to 1.2.2

Beware, this update has not worked for me and stops syncing with companionlink when asking for enabling new contact import feature. i have been in touch with the helpdesk and it is still not working.

Just so we are clear. As far as I can tell Joanne your iPhone is working correctly and you are having a problem with the import feature of 1.2.2 on your iPad2. Is this all correct?

Yes the iphone works fine. the ipad features are not working. here is the help rec'd thus far, indeed companionlink crashed as did lotusnotes when trying to resync after this: Sort Order default= Last, First
      Display Order default=First, Last

Ok, just so you are aware, I believe this update required me to reset my
ipad completely as it seemed freeze up things.

I have done what you suggested but,

Theapplication continues to ask me to import contacts and then shuts down
      and stops syncing with companionlink.

Please advise on the sort order if there is something I should change to
      get this fixed.

      Joanne -

What account is listed as the default contacts account for the iPad? You
can check this by opening (from the home screen of the device):
Settings > Mail > Contacts, Calendar > Contacts > Under Sort Order and
Display Order, what is marked as Default?

      Try this:

Uninstall DejaOffice and reinstall - but do not choose to Import
Contacts. Then, open DejaOffice Settings > Sync > Tap to sync with
      Apple's
      Contacts.

Next, open CompanionLink Setup on the PC and choose Options > Purge and
Reload all. The next synchronization will remove all contact records
from the device, and resynchronize from the PC.

Please let us know if this does not resolve the crashing.

      Best,

        Best,
        Hi Joanne,

Sorry for the trouble. THis is brand new feature and we have found that some third party applications format contact info differently. This can cause DejaOffice to crash when attempting to import Contacts.
What happens if you choose to not import your contacts? That may be a work around (temprorary) for now and I am curious if DejaOffice stabilizes and runs without doing the import. That would help us isolate this problem directly to the import function.
