    First Impressions, Feature Suggestion

I loved the Palm Desktop and synch with my Palm Pilot so much, I was very worried about abandoning it when I switched to an Iphone. I found DO and CL, and was doubtful it would work the way I wanted. I double-backed-up my Palm data and gave DO and CL a try.

I was blown away that both products work so perfectly. The DO interface is clear and easy, and has (almost) all the features I loved in my Palm. The CL I was really nervous about, but so far it has worked perfectly keeping everything in synch. I have been using them about a week and plan to purchase when my trial expires.

There are a couple small things that I would like to see.

Probably the most important is the day of the week displayed when viewing the Calendar in Day mode. I realize there is only so much screen real estate available, but I would sacrifice a little font size or deal with abbreviations if I could just see what the day of the week is.

It would also be nice if there was an easier way to go to Today, or better yet, if something notified me that I was looking at Today on the calendar, like if the color changed or something.

Other than these minor items, I am thrilled that there is such a great product out there.

David, welcome to the forums. Both these features - day name on day view, and move to Today, are very high on our list of priorities. They will be in the next release.

I like the changes. This app is becoming more and more useful to me. Outstanding!

Which brings me to my next suggestion: to be able to open individual modules from the Iphone main screen. For instance, I am constantly jumping between Calendar and Contacts and the main Iphone home screen. It would be great if there was an app icon that I could put right on the main Iphone screen that took me right to Calendar, for instance, instead of opening Deja Office and then closing out whatever module I was working in last, then going to the Deja Office home screen, then opening the new module I want to work in.

I understand if this is technically impossible to incorporate into the Iphone interface, but it would be really cool if it could.

        Thanks!

iOS lacks a "Desktop" like Android has, where we can place the various icons and widgets.

Having said that, we are working on this issue. If you see any good ideas send them on. Right now we are looking at the improved motion sensors, and wondering if maybe we could make a motion "app changer". Something like if you click the DejaOffice icon, and then rock the phone once or twice it would move through Contacts, then Calendar.

We tried that once with Android, and everyone said "Why does it keep changing apps".

I figured it might face a technological hurdle. I'm not crazy about the shaking idea.

It's too bad that individual modules can't be loaded separately or independently.

I'm wondering (said the Android person wandering into the iOS forum) if a solution would be to create a small number of apps whose only purpose would be to open up DejaOffice in different modules-- essentially apps that act like shortcuts. Maybe that's too ham-handed.
DejaOffice PC CRM Standalone, Windows 10 Home Version ver. 1909, DejaOffice 4.4.31 (Android),
F(X) Tec Pro1, 6 GB RAM, 128 GB Internal, 256 GB External, Horizontal Slider Keyboard!!, Android 9
Samsung Galaxy Tab S, 3 GB Ram, 16GB Internal, 128GB External, BT Keyboard, LineageOS 14.1 (Android 7.1.2)
DejaCloud Sync (PC and phone), USB Sync (Tablet).

That might be similar to the dedicated Evernote widget app that does something like that (on Android).
Devices: Motorola Moto G 5 Plus, Android 7.0. Samsung Galaxy Tab S3.
                Software: Windows 10 Pro x64. Outlook 2016. Deja Office 4.3.9 (build 1025).
