    Contacts Sync - Random Effects

In syncing, I'm finding some contacts duplicated ... in whole or in part - on both my computer & iPhone.
Not yet seeing any pattern or controllable reason for this behavior.
    How to correct?

(nb, this is post #1 for me, very new to CL/DJO, liking them ... and trying to learn how to properly control them so I can stick with Outlook.
    Thanks for your patience!)
    CL Build: 6018
    DJO: 1.7.5
Sync: WiFi (all 5 types both ways, no wipe, sync Apple or Outlook records)
OS: WinVista Home Premium (x64) SP 2 (build 6002)
    Platform: MS Outlook 2007 SP3
    Device: iPhone 5c, IOS 7.1.2

    Hi Gene,

Welcome to the forums. Duplicates are relatively common and occur as a result of additional sync services running on your device. On an iPhone, iCloud is the most likely culprit. Navigate to Apple Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > iCloud, and then disable the toggle switch for contacts. Repeat this action for the other accounts on your device (Google, Facebook, Skype, etc).

      Hi Kevin --
I (think!) I've done that - they were all off except for Passbook, which I switched off - I don't knowingly use iCloud.
      Will watch/gene --

All Apple Settings/iCloud options are now switched "Off" (as I noted, only Passbook) was "on".
For testing, I manually cleaned the "A" and "B" folks in my Outlook Contacts and have re-sync'd a few times.
What I noticed is that the record for a personal friend has been deleted from both the DJO and Outlook without my authorization, and I found a few duplicates (which could be my inattention).
Will continue detailed testing ... and try to recover my friend's info.
Any testing suggestions will be welcome - I do not yet hypothesize a pattern.
I'll get to curiosities in the Calendaring transfers when I get a handle on Contacts :-)

I updated my signature block - forgot to save it. So this entry is simply to let you see that.
