Sync with Apple's calendar turned off

After some time (days/weeks maybe? - not months) the sync setting "Sync with Apple's calendar" is turned off. Not by me, but by the system.

If I activate it again it remains for some time and then is turned off again.

    Any observations on this?

The Apple Calendar is pretty limited, large numbers of records are not handled by Apple very well, unlike the DejaOffice Calendar. You could try this setting:

    1. Open DejaOffice, tap Settings, and tap Sync Settings.
    2. Tap Sync Settings under Sync with Apple's Contacts app (it will effect calendar too).
    3. Set "allow sync in background" to no.

Thanks for the reply. Have changed the setting of "Allow background sync" to Off. Time will show if it makes any difference.

Checked settings today: Sync with Apple's Calendar is now set to off again "by itself", not by me. Sync with Apple's Contacts is still On and Allow sync in Background is still off as set by me earlier.

The reason I want to sync with Apple's Calendar is I have an Apple watch and I would like the next upcoming event to be displayed in a widget on the watch. This does not happen unless sync between Deja Office and Apple's Calendar works (I assume).

          Erik,

How many calendar records do you have? The "Native" Calendar is not very robust compared to the DejaOffice one, so shoving all that data into the tiny box of the apple calendar can be difficult. You can check the record counts in the DejaOffice Settings > Log > Show Record Counts. Long recurring events can also be alot of trouble for the Native.

            I've got 603 events, (3408 event instances).

I guess you are right, that syncronizing calendar events is not worth the effort (and trouble).

            I have turned it off..
