    New task alarm times preselected

    Hi,

Is there a way to change the Alarm pre-selected times? When I create a new Task, the Alarm field shows pre-selected times as: None, 7 am, 8 am, 9 am and 10 am. I know I can pick my own time using the "Not Set" option but I was wondering if I can set my own pre-selected times.

    Thank you

    Julio,

At this time we only have a Default\Custom Alarm option in the Calendar Settings, I will add this to our feature request list for Tasks.

Here's another vote for an improvement here. DJO on my Android has a fine selection of alarms -- a choice of specific times prior to the event. A similar ability in DJOPC would be a lot easier than the current choices.

        Eric,

Can you elaborate? We have not yet implemented a Custom Alarm option in the Tasks, but the Android setting for Task Alarms are currently mirroring the the DejaOffice PC CRM Task Alarm options. There is a Quick select on both for 7, 8, 9 10 and if you click Not Set on either you get the full time\date picker options.

          Hi Thomas,
First of all, the alarm times in DJO Android are relative to the event; values like 10, 20, 30, 60 minutes before the event and 1 day before the event, etc. It's not possible to do this with DJOPC; its alarms are at absolute times and not on hours, not minutes or days.

IMHO, the approach used on DJO Android is wonderful. Just implementing that on DJOPC would be great. Others might add more, but I've been very happy with the Android approach.

            Eric,

Just to be sure are you looking at Calendar Alarms vs Task Alarms? Calendar Alarms would have values like "minutes" before, Days before, etc. Task Alarms are set to a specific time as tasks only have Start and Due Dates not Start and End times. Calendar Alarms in DJOPC do allow for more options to be added under "More" in the drop down.

              Hi Thomas,
I finally had a need to enter a normal Calendar Alarm and saw the task alarm controls on the Alarm line that represent minutes before the event. The drop down is quite clear, and just like DJO Android. The earlier alarms for which I saw an issue were all day Calendar events. They show absolute time for alarms on the Alarm line, as they should.

Bottom line: I think this implementation is fine as is.
