Fix Background Pic?

Okay, this is really trivial in the scheme of things, but that's what you get for developing software for OC people.

I had a background pic I was using that I really liked. I mean really liked. DJO CRM kept trying to change it on me each week, but I would always put it back. Now, it is gone I see because I failed to note the default "Keep on 10 pics" and apparently new ones get downloaded. So I can't even get it back.

I would really like 3 things...

1) Have a setting to not change the picture unless done manually by the user.

2) Have a setting to keep all photos unless deleted manually.

3) Be able to see the whole collection of photos on your server as an option on change pictures (or, as good, just have all of them downloaded on my PC rather than having to limit the number kept. I can then just delete ones I don't like).

Did I mention I really loved that picture I lost...

We will get this option added in. I can look for your original picture, do you remember some details about the original image you were using?

For number two, under Settings > Background picture, select the Clear Old Pictures dropdown and "Do Not Clear" will be an option here. Also in the bottom right of the same menu, if you select "Change", it will open the background pictures folder, it should display any pictures we have sent (stored locally). If only file names appear in the panel that opens, right click in the white space, select View and choose Large or Extra Large icons, it will show image previews for anything in this folder.

I changed the setting in the dropdown for clear old pictures. I also managed to find the pic I liked-- I had sworn it was no longer there when I checked before. I did change the "number of photos to keep to 20 after I posted before-- not sure if I just missed it befor or that brought it back. It's photo 44. ;-)

By the way, are you the same Thomas that used to be on these forums going back to 2011 or so, or are you a new Thomas? Just curious.

We have a feature request to never change photos on the list. There was a previous Thomas before 2017, I would be the Thomas that has responded via Support or the Forums since then.

Thanks for indulging my trivial feature request. The DejaOffice PC CRM is really fantastic. A true Palm Desktop replacement for Android. Worth every penny!

So, I'm just curious... any eta on adding the feature to not change the background automatically. Again, I understand this is a trivial feature request, but it is really annoying to have to reset my background once a week. It seems like such a simple option to offer.

I came here to say we already had it, then I looked and we don't. I'll get that done this week.

The option exists to change picture Every Day and Every Week, it should also give the option of Never.

I have a small update for DPC that adds the "never" change background image. Please use the following link to install:

This will install build 1288. Once installed, open DPC, select Settings, Background Picture > Set Automatically change to "Never.
