Droid X running Android v2.3.3 (Gingerbread) OS on Verizon. Companion Link for Outlook(CLO) v4044 installed. Currently on DJO v1.11.8.
After updated to Gingerbread (GB), was happy I could sort native Contact list by last name (have been waiting for that!). However, my phone was sluggish and had been exhibiting some other odd behavior since updating. After research online, the recurring suggestion was that a Factory Data Reset was needed to clear up these issues. So I did that. Phone works great except now, I can only see 7 of my 192 contacts in the native app.
I noticed there is now a Display Options in the native app in Android OS v2.3.3. I have 3 "accounts" listed under this option to select which contacts to view: Google (gmail), Backup Assistant (Phone), Preset (Verizon Wireless). Under each of these there are "Groups" which can be checked/unchecked to display contacts. None of the Google or Preset boxes make a difference in what I see in the list. Under the Backup Assistant/Phone I have three Groups: Miscellaneous, My Contacts, and All Other Contacts. The 7 contacts I can see in the native app are tied to the Miscellaneous Group which aligns with the DJO/Outlook Category they are in. And they appear/disappear upon checking/unchecking that box. The other two Groups have no effect either
In DJO, I have the "Sync with Android Contacts App" box checked, as well as the "Sync DejaOffice contact categories to Android contact groups" box checked. I have 3 choices of Contact Account to sync with (gmail, Phone, and Verizon Wireless). I have Phone selected. For "Sync selected contact categories" I have "All Categories" selected.
Also, I can see some of my other contacts (labeled with different categories) in the native "Recent" calls along with their contact info and even edit it, but can't see it in the Contact list. So it appears as though my Contacts are all still in the native app, but I just can't see them in the list view.
I have tried "Purge and Reload" from CLO and various other things, but nothing has worked.
I'm not sure if this is a DJO issue or an Android issue (or a setup issue), but I thought if I posted here, maybe someone could tell me that much.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks in advance.
