Add to existing contacts from email on Android

Hi all,

I just got my Samsung S5 last week and installed Deja Office and Companion Link. I like it very much so far except a couple of things.

How to I add an email address to an already existing contact in Deja Contacts? It prompts me to do so and I do except nothing happens. Does this functionality work?

JJ Monie, welcome to the forums.

I took a look and it looks like the auto-add is not working. The best way to add an email is to open the contact and add it manually.

I'll have the programmer fix the auto stuff. That auto-add is mediated by Android, and this has been shifting a bit with the newer devices.

I have a similar issue when trying to update contacts from my phone calls. When I try adding a new number to an existing contact it fails. I get as far as selecting the contact and the type of number (mobile,work,etc) but the number does not paste.

This was addressed in build 672. From the release notes: "Fixed an issue where an existing contact's email would sometimes not be updated"
